When we took possession of our shed in October 2019, it had been derelict for several years and was in a very run-down state. Vandals had covered the exterior in graffiti and by gaining access to the roof had torn down soffit boards and trashed Ventaxia fans, etc
Exterior Work
We spent the months from October to Christmas 2019 setting about external repairs
Repainted exterior with general tidy up outside
Interior Work
We could now start to take pride in the interior of our building
The internal of the building also required fairly substantial restructuring from its use as former changing rooms to make it fit for our purpose.
Walls had to be knocked and the floor repaired to prevent a trip hazard
You can see how much we enjoyed it and Team WMS was taking shape
Kitchen
We built our own kitchen facilities and installed a fridge, microwave and cutlery drawer
Workbenches
Ron built this first workbench from wood we obtained from a local garden centre
Barry made the second workbench and surrounded it with this clever ‘French Cleat’ system for tool storage
Adrian’s bench under construction. It will have two vices installed so that two shedders can work on either side
Meanwhile, our artist Steve, is working on a great mural embodying our interests.
